Introduction: Make Your Own 1D Pong Game

For this project I will show you how I combined an MDF board with buzzer buttons, LEDs and an Arduino Nano in order to create a 1D Pong Game that is really fun to play. Along the way I will show you how to create the electronics circuit and how difficult it actually is to program such a 1D Pong Game from scratch. Let's get started!

Step 3: Create the Game Board and the Circuit

Step 4: Upload the Code!

Here you can download the code for the 1D Pong Game. But before uploading it to the Arduino you should also download/include the FastLED library (https://github.com/FastLED/FastLED).

Step 5: Success!

You did it! You just created your own 1D Pong Game!

    Hey! Im almost done but the LED's are driving me nuts! So I have wired this and got completely finished and I went to test the LED's and half of them did not work. When I plugged the 5v 10a power supply into the dc jack, the long led strip would work. When I unplug it and retry, the long led would suddenly not work and one of the scoreboards will be discolored when its suppose to be white. Then after re-plugging it back it still doesnt work. I tried 3 different arduino nano boards all with the same result.. When I switch the player one scoreboard with the player two scoreboard, then the opposite one gets discolored. It leads me to think the Arduino's are faulty... It never allows me to play the game when the button is pressed either. I am using 22 gauge wires. If anyone knows what the problem is then please help. Otherwise this is an amazing game and I suggest everyone to try it! <3
