What will you use it for? Lucky pebbles, guitar picks, tiny presents...
This little bag is easy to sew and a cheerful way to use up small scraps of fabric.
I made this at TechShop the other night while I was waiting for my husband to finish a bit of soldering, and so this is another in my ongoing series of "I made it at TechShop" Instructables.
You can hand sew this project if you are not in a hurry. I used a sewing machine.
Step 1: Materials:
- 2 pieces of contrasting-colored fabric, cut into approximately 7" squares
- ribbon for a drawstring
These were my tools:
- straight pins
- sewing machine
- safety pin
Step 2: Assemble the Square:
Pin the squares, right sides together.
Leaving a gap in the center of one side, sew around the outside.
Remove pins and turn rightside out.
Step 3: Fold and Sew Corner Casings:
Fold in corners as shown. Press.
Sew a line of stitching 1/2" from each folded edge.
You will have four bits of casing with gaps in between.
Step 4: Finish:
Thread a drawstring through the casing, pull up tight, and enjoy your tiny bag.
