I followed your procedure in this Instructable and they turned out great! The CQDs glow a distinct green under UV. However I found it difficult to explain how it all works to my research teacher. We understand the acid hydrolysis in the first half, but wondering how the CQDs form with the sodium bicarbonate. It would be great if you could link a few other papers or resources or explanations for those who might want to take the project further. I've been attempting to read a few papers I searched up, but my understanding is scattered at best. Thanks for the neat Instructable!
