With the integration of Bluetooth in cars of today, I haven't used my "hack" in about 3 years. I still have the hacked parts for reference if anyone needs pictures.

Great bridge looks fantastic. On your cable locking system, how are the cables terminated (what tools were used) and what is the breaking strength of that termination. The keyhole idea is ingenious but is there any chance of the end wearing out and slipping through? On your specific bridge and out of curiosity, do you think it would support a riding lawnmower or a bicycle?

If you heat the aluminum slightly to anneal it before doing the winding, it will soften it. You can also use this method to soften work hardened aluminum. There are many examples of how to do it on the web, I didn't want to post a link to someone else's piece. Just search for "annealing aluminum"

Reminds me of Lincoln Logs. I suppose I could get my old kits from my mom and build a birdhouse. Great job and easy clear instructions. Thanks.

Great video. What type of camera do you use and what is the picture interval? Or do you record everything then take out snaps?

I think I may have a solution to the angle problem. If you were to use a larger inner diameter pipe over the shorter pipes, you may be able to extend them to adjust the angle. Then with multiple holes drilled straight through both inner and outer pipe for a locking pin, you could adjust as necessary.

I build a similar queen bed frame a few years ago. I used some hook type fasteners to make the sides removable for transport. I think I got them here: https://www.rockler.com/build/bedframe/heavy-duty-... I will add some pictures when I get home.
