This is amazing! Also it never occurred to me to use vapes for fog effects, that's brilliant, will definitely keep it in back pocket for future projects!

    Halloween Brimstone Bread

I made this today for a halloween dinner party! I did a single loaf rather than rolls, and for the base I used this no-knead bread recipe, which I mixed up last night:http://www.girlversusdough.com/2015/08/13/no-knead...Of course, I forgot to put in the red food coloring, argh! When I realized this morning, I squirted some in and mixed it around while I punched the dough down. Then I did the "form dough into a ball" step from the no-knead recipe and afterwards patted some more red food color on top. (My hands were very red.) I then let the no-knead dough rest for 15 or so minutes at the same time as the black topping was resting, then I put on the topping and let it rest another 15 minutes together, and then dumped the whole parchment into the oven and baked per the no-knead r...

The cracking was not quite as dramatic but it still had a very cool effect, and the "bloody" bread was a big hit. Also, this recipe makes super tasty bread, and the topping was tasty also!I used Wilton gel food color and no activated charcoal. Thanks so much for coming up with this truly fun recipe!

    Marauder's Map FULL SIZE Replica

Thanks to you and littlefallingstar, I now have a blacklight-only Marauders Map :D :D :D To make this work, I took the templates and ran them through a quick color select in Photoshop to strip out the backgrounds and leave only the map and ink splotches. I got parchment paper and printed the map templates out using Stealth iX ink on am HP Deskjet 1112. I also stripped the background out of the back images and used a color laser to print the ink blots etc on the paper before I printed the invisible ink (although it worked either way). Trimming and lining up invisible pages was not easy. :P My gluing also didn't come out nearly as perfect as what you've got -- tomorrow once it has dried a bit I will try brushing in a bit of glue in the remaining pouching spots and maybe putting it in a to...

Next up will be wiring the blacklight to a smart switch so I can control it with the raspberry pi that will be running a spell recognition script. ;)Mischief Managed! <3

How to sew an easy Crazy Quilt block

First time making a quilt square of any kind, and twenty years since I last touched a sewing machine, and this was fantastically clear and helpful! And I clipped all my threads and ironed after every step. :)
