Hi. Sorry for the delay. Glad to see someone else is tackling the project! In the billy.py python file, there is a line where mh = Adafruit_MotorHAT(). In that line it says "freq=100". That should be all you need to do. Is it not working for you?

What kind of lights you use doesn't really matter, but you need to make sure that the power supply you choose outputs the right voltage. Batteries come in a bit of a range of voltages depending on type, but you can assume they will be about 1.4 volts DC per cell if they are AA or AAA. My lights had 3 AA batteries so 3 x 1.4 is 4.2. As long as your power supply is around that, you should be fine. The battery box is only there to hold the batteries, switch, and some other very minor electronics.

That could work out pretty well, or some glass-etching cream. Depends what look you're going for

That would probably work, just be careful not to cross-thread the hole and wreck the threads you already have there. Using just a bolt is possibly safer for your threads
View Instructable »Absolutely agree. Bolts that are loaded sideways should be Ok, but anything that has force pulling the bolt "out" should use a more secure method like a nut and washer on the back

As far as reverse-engineering the program, not needed. The code is available online on GitHub. Just because it is, doesn't mean it's not secure. Some argue that open-source is more secure that closed-source because you have more eyes looking for problems in the implementation, so there is less likely to be a security hole.If someone was able to get your master password, secret password, and know the settings you were using in SGP, yes, they could get into all of your accounts, but there are very few ways that could happen. If someone were to get a password you are using from a website, there is no reasonable way for them to get your SGP settings, even if they knew you were using it. Since SGP doesn't store anything on your computer, no one can just copy that file off and get your i...

Exactly. Email is the worst account to have breached for exactly that reason. It snowballs quickly and usually undermines the security of any other site, no matter how secure that password is. Glad you found it useful :)

That could definitely work. However, it should be sufficient to anchor the headboard to the wall - it would prevent the frame from tipping, and you wouldn't need to modify the floor at all.

The crashing sounds like a power issue. If it runs until you move the servo, the servo may be drawing too much power and browning-out the board. Try getting a big wall power supply and see if the problem goes away. When it crashes, does the pi lock up and you have to restart it, or does python spit out a bunch of errors but the pi still run? If it's a full lockup, very likely a power issue.Big fan of the giraffe
