After I made the gate, the fence looked bad, so I replaced it. Before I replaced the fence I moved the water faucet and sprinkler valves inside the back yard and put them up higher so I don't grab snakes like last year when turning on a sprinkler zone. I added a battery operated timer on the sprinklers so I didn't have to wire up to the house. I added a drain line for the cool deck gutter and covered it with paver rock. I will finish by covering up the PVC with more fence slats to protect it from the sun. In Florida I don't worry about freezing. Whew, an afternoon project turned into two weeks part time!
Making Perfectly Straight Cuts
Bevels and Mitres
Thanks for the instructable! I made my table out of a solid door 36" by 96". It was so heavy I had to cut it in half from my truck bed. The door cost $39 from Restore and I used five 2x4s. Pretty cheap for a solid table. I cut a strip of thin sheeting to cover the cut ends. I didn't want the door to swell with humidity here in Florida. I added 3" coasters.
