• I'm at the point of wiring two, in a square holder for a drill press base. In regards to wiring the multple coils, are they in parallel or series? I would expect series as that would be higher resistance. But that leads to another question, the coils have a wire from the "inside" of the coil and one from on the "outside" of the coil. Is it better to go from the outside of one to the inside of the next one. I've also noted with a "compass" that it is possible to have both "North" or both "South" or one "North" and the other "South". I'm thinking that like a horseshoe magnet on should be North and the other South to create a stronger "attaction", but I really do not know... any help would be appreciated.

• For those of you that might question, for simple equations, RPN calculators are okay, but where they really come into it, is when you get into complex equations. then the benefits far exceed any other calculator! I've used the calculator as shown, it also had some "AMAZING" other benefits, too much to get into here! I use a HP-42S as my day to day calculator, it is not as big as the hp48 series, but is adequate for most of what I do. I just wish HP would get back into production of these type of calculators! WAAAAY better! Thanks for the post!

• I've read the whole thing and most of the comments, it seems most of everyone has a similar opinion, similar method and most have done it before. Now, for those of us that haven't and have no idea. Could you please explain some terminology as in "landing"? "lip"? "Chisel angle"? I think I've got chisel angle, but I'm not sure where on the bit it is referenced to. I've read the text a few times trying to derive meaning but I am still unsure. Perhaps a small graphic would be helpful. The "gif" is great, but how many times? how do you keep both sides even, is there a check that is full proof? A video showing the whole process from start to finish would be very helpful.

Hi, good read, great info to make me think, my 2 cents worth as to the current sensor, since you're "in" the wall anyway. I'm thinking you could hook the current sensor up to a line as it separated in the outlet box for the dryer. There is already bare wires in the electrical box, the cable could easily be run within the wall. It would have a few advantages, out of sight, less prone to damage, by errant socks, no need to damage the dryer cord. and then would work with any dryer you plug in, in case you have to replace it, ...or move.

My father used to build wood propellers for small aircraft, late 1950's through the 80's. This was the same "type" of tool he used, but on a smaller scale. He used a couple of vertical 2" x 4" 's about 4' tall on wood base to hold them up, with a couple of old wheel bearings. You just need to hold the item you are balancing in space. I've also seen it done with two pieces of wood with a notch on the top of each to hold a rod. The propeller does not need to be vertical, it can be horizontal as well, it just needs to be able to move freely. The second "must be" is it has to balance through the center axis. Which is usually a hole, so you have to create something to center in the hole. The use of the cones from the ends of couple of pens to center the p...
