Tell us about yourself!
I don't have any device that listens to me 24/7 so I can't speak from experience but don't they have an off switch? If you want to turn it off remotely just plug it into a 'Clapper' remote power switch. Or better yet... Learn sign language. :-)
Nice idea but I think you made it way to complex. I would just have a pendulum weight that would close the flaps whenever you look up. No wires or batteries!
Good idea. I would suggest you use more lighting in your videos.
I like the concept a lot but your presentation needs work. Why did you feel you needed to speed up the videos 5x? It would be much clearer to show in real time how one support was made. Again, I like the idea!
Your already using a USB hub right? Just mount a hub at the back of the box giving you access to the USB ports and a short Ethernet extension would allow access to that.
Nice build. Not to criticize but if you mounted the Pi about and inch closer to the front you would have room for the cable ends and wouldn't need to mod the USB ports on the Pi.
This is a great project and I love the results but I was hoping you would have some link to a simpler version we could do at home.
Welcome to Arduino
If you flip your Crescent wrench over it will fit any metric nut or bolt.
