What a great tip!
Great looking tool! Given that it started as an old, rusty saw, whose teeth may have been dull, did you have to sharpen the blade? If so, how?

Handy looking device. What is the necessary capacity of the compressor needed?
Nice project and needed, too, for a growing family. I made two dog gates out of standard lumber and later combined them into a dog “jail” for when we are out or at night. He likes it. and his own place. Also, no problem for your design, but you might emphasize that all openings, including around the perimeter must be smaller than a baby’s (or dog’s) head. Strangulation danger, as with old cribs. Good job!
Fix a Hole in Drywall
We have installed numerous solar water heating systems. Nobody drinks the fluid, but we always use tin & antimony solder, not lead solder. Lead is dangerous and is absorbed by exposure to skin, drinking water and when aerosolized in fumes, causes brain damage even in small quantities,, especially to children. Its dangerous for the plumber, too, as all solder emits fumes while being heated. Plumbers are especially exposed.
Very nice ‘ible. I’m a solar developer (1.2 MW on 28 schools). You’ve got it all right. Very complete. The paragraph on income taxation is a rare insight. We all pay taxes on everything we earn, but we don’t have to buy energy with it, so it’s like a pay raise in disposable income.
Been in solar since 1980’s. While commercial system materials are hard to match, the old beer can heater works pretty well. The main challenge is the temporary duct to heat the living space. And it needs to be ducted, so that new, cool air is always entering. With greater delta t the exit temp will be lower, but the total Btu’s out will be greater. Pool heaters work well, too. Much better with a nighttime pool cover. The rule of thumb is: with no cover, solar collectors need to be twice as large.

WD-40 is good for outdoor humane release of mice caught by a glue/type mouse trap. A little cold in winter, but better than the usual mouse trap fate
WD-40 dissolves the glue of a glue-based mousetrap for humane outdoor release of the critter (I suppose as food for someone else. Anyway, humane.
Fun! Years ago I built a similar frame for a water bed in a third floor apartment. I also built my deck to be “floating". (Draining it out the window into a frozen parking lot in winter is a story for another time). The bed went out of style for us as we matured and wanted a less massive, furniture look. Why not use 1x boards for the rails, as they do not support anything?
Good intractable! Like the template to prevent hole saw wandering, good for other uses. Liked retaining the face side paper. For larger, irregular holes, start by cutting a drywall patch piece first, large enough to be backed by a joist or other support, then trace it on the wall and cut the opening to exactly match the patch. (Easier than matching patch to hole).
How to Hand Cut Dovetails
In shaping your dough for the 2nd rise, stretching the surface dough around as you tuck in the will form a “gluten coat” that helps ensure your crust will be, well, crusty, and the interior “crumb” will be nice and soft. Also, I’ve learned that precision in measuring the ingredients, particularly the flour and water, is vital. An inexpensive digital scale makes precision and clean up easy.
The culprit is the flour. It can vary in moisture from season to season and day to day, depending on how you store it, I suppose. That in turn reflects th amount of water needed. The amount of flour can vary depending on how you fill your measure. Artisan Bread in Five Minutes a Day author Zoe Francois, recommends the scoop and sweep method. But that flour can be compacted or it might have been sifted. So while I am sure he measured his ingredients before publishing the recipe, he has no control over the above in your kitchen. The great equalizer is a scale. The bonus to a scale is you can forget about all the other measuring tools buying the tare feature. One bowl to clean up.

carbonates, You are right, little baseload electricity is generated using oil. Thus most solar comparisons cite # of homes powered, not oil offset. But since solar is the cheapest source of energy in a growing number of US locations, you might like more up to date info. A reliable site for all things solar worldwide is www.solarwakeup.com. Also, since we are now hearing a lot about cars, buses, trucks, cities, and even countries power by renewable electricity. A great and reliable site about all that is https://cleantechnica.com, including cars, HVAC and others.
BobH100, Solar “works” mainly where it is encouraged more than where the sun shines most. Sometimes, it’s both, but Germany, which led the world in solar installations until China took over, has a solar climate (“insolation”) similar to Alaska. Here in TN, with no Net Metering or Fee-In-Tariff, solar is viable so long as you are not seeking Wall Street ROI. Also, what was the maintenance cost of the electrical panel in your garage? Solar is similar. We’ve installed solar on 26 schools, the local PBS TV station etc. Since 2012, no maintenance cost except annual inspection.

The 8 square (non-triangulated) main corners transfer all forces to the screws in shear, particularly when doing chin-ups. Over time these joints may loosen and wobble. Wouldn’t placing the chin-up bar in the center distribute the forces more evenly? May need to move the top cross members to the outside.

With a 4th tray, you could align the fill and drains so that the system could be refilled from a line vertical to the reservoir, instead of routing it to the opposite side of the array.
