Hello, nice gears! Im currently designing something to laser-cut on wood and Im making use of lots of gears, did you do some kind of adjustment to the blueprints to adjust for the laser thickness?
Very nice project! Im working on something similar but Im using reclaimed music combs form old cheap music boxes. Ill write my issues here in case someone knows/is interested in helping. I will use reclaimed 18 note steel combs from cheap music boxes, but at the time I dont know what notes they play. Does someone know any standard/broadly used configuration of notes? Like this one (http://www.ebay.com/itm/18-Note-Comb-for-a-Music-B... No help in the internet so far. Ill be using 1mm (or smaller) laser cut acrylic to strung the notes. Will this be too thin and break the acrylic? I cant make it thicker or it will hit two notes at once. How does the crack feel without a spinning element on it for the fingers? Do you get sound when a metal plate is vibrating and its strung again?Thank you!
Hello. Very Nice instructable. I might try it in summer. Ive been reading closely and still have some questions. There is no info on what type of potentiometer you use for 'pika' or no really information regarding the electronic installation. Is this because all electronic components come with the components (screen, LED,...) and there is no worry? In case you bought them on the side, can you add some info? What is the life time of the LED light? After all, this project seems feasible! Im just concerned I will break the screen while working on it.
Thank you, I understand. How do I know if I need an amplifier for a given impedance?
Dont you need an amplifier?
I want to do this but im not sure it will fit my room, how big is it from fingertips to top head?? Thank!!
