So, the main thing that kept our pipes safe was the water inside. The theory is that the water would be boiling/exploding out of the outlet/way too hot for comfort long before the melting point of the solder. So, if the pipes are full of water, the solder joints should be safe. Ours stayed solid, in any case!That's a beautiful stove/pipe btw :)
