Sharpening Rotary Razor Blades - Safe and Simple Method
Thanks Kiteman for the instructable. I made one using my desktop CNC with a low-power (3W) laser head. The material is 1.5mm EVA craft foam sheet.

My middle layers are dark green (instead of blue) mainly because that's the color of foam I had on hand. A nice thing about craft foam is that it comes in many colors -- so I didn't need to do any painting. I did modify the svg file in Inkscape for layer #4 to cut out the yellow part as a separate inset piece.Craft foam (EVA foam) is available at most craft and art supply stores (Michaels, Hobby Lobby, Joanne Fabrics, even Walmart) most commonly in 12x18" x 2mm or 5mm thick sheets. On the web you can find other sizes. Even low power lasers can cut it at impressive speeds. Thanks, laxap for the instructable! I made the Laser-cut Lotus out of 2mm EVA craft foam (aka Funky Foam). I have an X-Carve desktop CNC machine with a 3 Watt laser module from Darkly Labs. It cuts these foam sheets with ease. Next, I'll have to try other mathematical functions in SCAD.
Welding Tools and Materials
Thanks for the design! Made with X-Carve. Baltic birch plywood with amber shellac finish. I designed a matching bud vase.
