I have made a Plotter using 2 Stepper Motors from CD/DVD Drives.

As so many have been done, not sure if the there would be interest on how I made this one.

I have made the frame on my 3D printer, and made a circuit so the motors don't get hot enough to fry eggs on.

Here is a video of it in action:

Looks quite nice, why not make an Instructable out of it?
I like the portable idea that allows to put it on whatever surface you like.

I wanted to see what people thought, I have other projects I am working on, and I still want to do more to this if I can. I was hoping to make it stand alone, but I am currently having issues with lack of memory on the NANO, I may make a new one with 2 NANO's :)

Well, I am impressed!

My only complaint is the video inked above is a little bit tedious to watch, because there is no narration, and there seems to be several minutes of setup activity, before it gets to the good part, where I get to see this machine draw some plots.

Also I did not watch it all the way through, but I have kind of short attention span.

However, it looks like a solidly built gizmo, and it makes pretty plots!

Thank you for sharing this!

Your right about it being a bit tedious, at the start I wanted to show I had added a menu system to enable some control of the device without a computer attached.
I wanted to show it in continuous action for a length of time to show the motors don't fry over time, my intention was to put my finger on one of the motors at the end to show they remain ok but I forgot. :)
